Inspection
By studying the colour pigments and finishes used in the |

Pre-cleaning
manufacture of finished hide, we are able to colour |

Dismantling (where
necessary)
match to the present colour of the existing hide using |

Stripping (cleaning

our comprehensive range of colours, dyes and finishes. |

Welding (tears, burns,

Re-graining (filled

An added bonus is that, as upholsterers, we can replace |

Filling (colour matched

panels where they are beyond restoration. |

Colouring (to match

Re-upholstery or re-covering of furniture can be done |

Antiquing (where
required)
using pre-coloured commercial hide. However, by |

Finishing (durable clear final

hides, we are also able to |

accommodate requests for extreme colour variations, |

Quality control
inspection
covering thousands of potential shades.
Close inspection of mature leather furniture will clearly show that all
areas (panels) are not the same shade. This can be due to exposure to
sunlight, heat sources or wear. There may be up to twenty or thirty slight
minor shade variations on the same piece of furniture.
Hence, when replacing arm or seat panels, we colour match to the removed
panel colour so that it blends in appropriately with the remainder.
We are rarely able to carry out more than the most minor scratch repair or
biro mark removal on-site, as some of the restoration processes require up
to 12 hours drying time, before the next coat can be applied.
Up to eight sprayed applications can frequently be required to achieve the
finished result.
Question:- So what can I do myself to save money and look
after my furniture?
